OH, THE PLACES YOU WON'T GO...... DR. SEUSS

One place that students in Crazy Cambridge Massachusetts should not go to visit is "The Amazing World of Dr. Seuss Museum" - an amazing new museum west on the turnpike in Springfield Mass, that is dedicated to the iconic children's author and Springfield native Theodor Geisel, aka Dr. Seuss!

Irony pervades the fact that the new museum features interactive exhibits that highlight Geisel’s revolutionary role in "changing how we learn to read......providing opportunities to experiment with new sounds and vocabulary, play rhyming games, and invent stories...." notes the museum site.

While Dr. Seuss’s Springfield roots is celebrated.... it is the charismatic characters in the children's books that are highlighted in the museum exhibits -- and at Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden -- characters that inspire children to learn. The Dr. Seuss National Memorial Sculpture Garden shows the characters parade as bronze sculptures -- the museum opening this year in the city where Theodor Seuss Geisel was born.

Yet in Cambridge, Mass, the librarian at the Cambrideport School Library rejected the ten Dr. Seuss books donated by Melania Trump, refusing the books by the infamous children's author whom the librarian deemed "as racist" - the books not allowed at the Cambridgeport School library.

The first lady gave the collection of titles by the renown Dr. Seuss children’s author to award-winning education programs around the country. The school librarian Liz Phipps Soeiro wrote a letter to Melania Trump informing her that “we will not be keeping the titles for our collection....My students were interested in reading your enclosed letter and impressed with the beautiful bookplates with your name and the indelible White House stamp, however, we will not be keeping the titles for our collection," wrote Soeiro in an open letter on a book blog...You may not be aware of this, but Dr. Seuss is a bit of a cliché, a tired and worn ambassador for children's literature," Soeiro wrote to Trump. "As first lady of the United States, you have an incredible platform with world-class resources at your fingertips. Just down the street you have access to a phenomenal children's librarian: Dr. Carla Hayden, the current Librarian of Congress. I have no doubt Dr. Hayden would have given you some stellar recommendations."

WHOA!!!! Insulated in the crazy Cambridge World, the librarian felt free to diss the first lady and the world renown children's book author........Soeiro wrote that Seuss's illustrations are "steeped in racist propaganda, caricatures and harmful stereotypes."

The Cambridge public school system released a statement that the librarian's public rejection of the gift did not represent a "formal" rejection of the gift. "Cambridge Public Schools supports the right of our employees to voice their personal opinions. The opinions expressed...were those of the writer, and not a statement on behalf of Cambridge Public Schools. This was not a formal acceptance or rejection of donated books, but a statement of opinion on the meaning of the donation," the statement said. "We have counseled the employee on all relevant policies, including donations policies and the policy against public resources being used for political purposes. While we enthusiastically support the political engagement and passion of our employees, in this instance the editorial posted online gave the impression that the statement reflected the position or actions of the Cambridge Public Schools. Our school district did not authorize any such statement."

The employee of the Cambridge School District should be suspended or fired for injecting politics in the operations of the school library - overstepping her authority to represent the school system, and interfering with the education of Cambridge students who are being taught Blue State politics are more important that the educational inspiring journey of the Dr. Seuss' characters available to all children -- characters that are steeped in creativity, a whirlwind of endless colors and shapes, negating racist propaganda, caricatures and harmful stereotypes. Attendance at the museum has already been an overwhelming success...now, the line for tickets will be longer as Blue State residents continue to show support for the wonderful world of Dr. Seuss.

Everybody welcome, come visit the Amazing World of Dr. Seuss. .

BRIDGEGATE, BEACHGATE OPTICS = BYE BYE CHRISSIE

Chris Christie, the Soprano-Style Governor of New Jersey has fallen hard in the polls after the Christie family were pictured lounging on a desolate state beach that was closed due to a government shutdown during the kick-off summer July 4th holiday weekend.

“I don’t apologize for it. I don’t back away from it,” Christie said. “Let’s be really clear. That’s our residence and we have a right to be there whenever we want to be there,” regarding the state's home residence at Island Beach State Park that is given to the governor while in office.

Tone-deaf Christie regurgitated excuse after excuse....such as he did not ask for any government services as lifeguards or garbage collection... as Seinfeld says, Yada, Yada, Yada....

Christie claimed the media used images of his family on the empty state beach behind the governor’s house to imply that the Christie family were the only ones on the beach. “I understand it’s a holiday weekend and the news channels don’t have anything else to cover,” he said. Only 11 miles of the state’s 130 miles of coastline were closed due to the shutdown, and the rest of the beaches were “jammed,” he said.

Bull-headed, despite having the worst job approval rating for any governor in any state in more than 20 years (Quinnipiac University survey) - Christie stated, “I think my poll numbers show I don’t care about political optics”. After the Bridgegate scandal in 2013, when Christie’s allies closed four lanes of the George Washington Bridge -- the "optics" destroyed the governor's reputation in the blatant attempt to hurt a Democratic mayor who did not endorse Christie -- the lane closure backfired and really hurt the commuting public on the busiest bridge in America.

It is interesting to watch Governor Christie self-destruct via "OPTICS" -- after all, a picture is worth 1000 tweets.........optics don't lie...

GRIFFIN MOCKS TRUMP... STUNT BACKFIRES

No one questions the tragic fate of James Foley and Steven Sotloff -- ISIS brutally, publicly beheaded the captured Americans in Iraq, photos shown across the internet to provoke fear and intimidate enemies of this stone age insanity that publicizes prisoners of war beheaded -- the lucidity of crazed comedian Kathy Griffin is in question -- as she mocked this brutal reality in a posting of a faux beheaded President Trump is in question..... does Griffin not have any regard for the brutal truth?

Griffin apparently thought she would be funny, holding the fake blood-soaked head of the American president -- yet, no one is laughing. All venues of her upcoming shows have canceled, even Anderson Cooper -- CNN journalist slammed his New Year's Eve co-host, "For the record, I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in. It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate." CNN network, strong critic of the president, fired her from the New Year's Eve telecast.

The Karmic Wheel went bust for Griffin -- the media punishment fits the high volume crime.... the image hurt her reputation. Really, it's that simple -- there are limits, lines were crossed.

Griffin was dropped as spokeswoman for footstool maker Squatty Potty, one of the highly successful pitches on Shark Tank. Route 66 Casino in Albuquerque, NM canceled a July performance, the Center for the Arts in Grass Valley, Nev., and Uptown Theatre in Napa canceled two June shows. Her Nov. 2 appearance at St. George Theatre in Staten Island and Nov. 3 show at the State Theatre in NJ were also cancelled.

Even Democratic Senator Al Franken, a former comedian, said that "it would be best" for Griffin not to attend a book event that the liberal senator had scheduled on July 7 at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. "I believe what Kathy Griffin did was inappropriate and not something that should be anywhere in our national discourse. I consider her a friend, and I'm glad she realized she crossed the line and apologized," the former comedian told Politico.

"After hearing from many Minnesotans who were rightfully offended, I've come to the conclusion that it would be best for her not to participate in the event we had previously scheduled," said Franken. "I understand why Minnesotans were upset by this, and I take that very seriously."

At a news conference, Griffin said the "absurdist" art went over the top. She acknowledged it was a "bad joke" and confirmed she is being investigated by the Secret Service. The 56-year-old then stated that "everybody turn on me" and that Trump mobilized America to ruin her career.

"I don't think I will have a career after this. I'm going to be honest. He broke me. And this isn't right. I apologized because that was the right thing to do, and I meant it," she said, adding, "There's a bunch of old white guys trying to silence me, and I'm just here to say that's wrong. You don't have to like me, but you shouldn't silence a comic."

Yes, the Karmic Media Wheel goes round for Grffin, time to silence Griffin. Really, it's that simple -- there are limits, lines were crossed.

ATHLETES VS. THE WHITE HOUSE

Patriots fans take note, Celtics Great Larry Bird did not visit the White House in 1984 snubbing President Reagan. Bird stated, "If the president wants to see me, he knows where to find me."

In our Hyper-Partisan World, we also forget that the Patriots visited President Obama at the White House in 2015 minus Tom Brady -- in celebration of Super Bowl Championship. The tradition of great American sports teams visiting the White House has always been veiled in popular political culture. The prestige of the presidential visit has been subjected to political boycotts by athletes may times over the years -- drawing light on our amazing freedom of speech.

In 2012, Boston Bruins Tim Thomas refused to visit with President Obama alongwith the rest of the Stanley Cup 2011 Champion team stating, "I believe the Federal government has grown out of control, threatening the Rights, Liberties, and Property of the People," he wrote. "This was not about politics or party, as in my opinion both parties are responsible for the situation we are in as a country."

Pittsburgh Steelers James Harrison chose not to visit the White House twice after the Steelers won the Super Bowl, denying both President Obama and former President George Bush — because he felt the whole idea of inviting championship teams was meaningless. "This is how I feel — if you want to see the Pittsburgh Steelers, invite us when we don't win the Super Bowl," he said. "As far as I'm concerned, he [Obama] would've invited Arizona if they had won."

Our favorite former Red Sox, Manny Ramirez did not meet President George Bush for the same reason he did whatever Manny does, he just didn't feel like it. "I'm sorry [David Ortiz's] running mate, Manny Ramirez, isn't here,'' Bush said. "I guess his grandmother died again. Just kidding. Tell Manny I didn't mean it."

American golfer Tom Lehman declined to meet President Clinton, noting his Christian faith, instead referring to Clinton as a "draft-dodging baby killer."

And yes, the Greatest Basketball Player Ever -- Michael Jordan -- did not meet President George Herbert Walker Bush in 1991, noted in a famous Chicago Tribune headline, "Snub By Jordan Undermines Team." Jordan defended his decision, saying he wanted to spend time relaxing with his family back in North Carolina."As you know, my schedules have been very hectic," he said. "You guys have seen me, I've been every which way, and because I choose to take my private three days somewhere no one can call me, it's my prerogative."

The list will never-end because this is America -- it is our right to express our support or lack thereof to the resident in the White House, Patriots get used to it.

IT'S ALWAYS THE ECONOMY, STUPID....

The infamous quote by political pundit James Carville -- "It's the economy, stupid" explained Democratic candidate Bill Clinton's smashing defeat against Republican George Bush, Sr. in 1994, allowing Democrats to regain the White House. It seems this potent economic reality holds true in 2016, as the unpredictable Ultimate Outsider Donald Trump defeated the Ultimate Insider Hillary Clinton to regain the White House in 2016 for Republicans, who already held majorities in both the House and Senate.

The Clinton campaign ignored the deep economic concerns of the middle class population and paid the ultimate price..... losing to Team Trump, and the wealthy businessman kept on message, vowing to Make America Great Again by renegotiating trade deals that hurt the American economy, and to restore jobs that had vanished overseas leaving American working-class voters -- White, Black, Asian, Indian, Mexican -- nowhere else to turn.

Blue-collar voters in the battleground states of Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania voted to give Republican Donald Trump the chance to resurrect an economy that had abandoned them. Amid the rising tide of refugees escaping the Syrian War, the rising tide of endless military costs "nation building" while fighting the Islamic State, the rising cost of Obamacare, and the meaningless identity politics of the left, working-class Americans turned their backs on the female career politician and turned to the billionaire who voiced their concerns.

Hillary Clinton's interest was always Hillary Clinton -- it was obvious when she quit the Senate in 2009 to become the Secretary of State for President Obama that she was grabbing at the overseas diplomatic run to set up her presidential campaign in 2016. Who leaves the privileged life of being a Senator -- without any term limits -- except narcistic dreamers? The career move backfired -- as her deadly mishandling of Benghazi and her incompetent mishandling of her emails ignoring every federal security regulation made her a flawed candidate.... without real appeal to blue collar voters -- people who work for a living.

It's always the economy, stupid...... it will always be the economy, stupid.
